Sling Swivel Ports
Handy holding system for carrying straps
Rust-free sling swivel for quick and silent locking
The sling swivel designed by Erwin Halder KG is an exceptional choice for connections that need to be released on a regular basis. One such application requiring a quick-release connection is the carrying strap that needs to be removed before a weapon can be used at a firing range or during competitions. Removing the strap using conventional connections is often cumbersome. In contrast, the sling swivel makes releasing the connection between carrying strap and the gun stock an absolute cinch as it is based on the tried-and tested principle behind the ball lock pin. To detach, merely press the push button of the pin. The balls lock into place and unlock automatically when the button is, respectively, released and pressed. This makes it possible to use or remove the sling swivel as often as desired - with zero maintenance, zero noise and zero risk of becoming lost.
The sturdy sling swivel is made of stainless steel. The standard model also comes with corrosion protection, which accounts for the sling swivel's black colour. Also available is a non-coated version. Both models are, of course, also ideally suited for outdoor applications.
The sling swivels are available with a pin diameter of 9.5 mm and a clamping length – which signifies the distance between ball and stop collar – of 1 mm and, now, even 1.5 mm. A smaller model featuring a pin diameter of 6 mm is approaching readiness for market launch. By default, Erwin Halder KG offers their sling swivels for two maximum sling widths: Swivels with a width of 23 mm and 40 mm can be subjected to forces of 1.2 kN and 2.0 kN, respectively.
Also made of blackened or bare stainless steel, the receptacle bushings are the matching counter pieces to the sling swivels. They are pressed into the part to be joined, e.g. the gun stock. The receptacle bushings Erwin Halder KG offers for installation in wood and plastic have four snap-in points that are arranged at a distance of 90°. Also available for wood are receptacle bushings that allow for infinite 360° when locked in place. The entire holding system also ensures a constant firm hold, even after multiple activations.
Since introducing their sling swivel, Erwin Halder KG has managed to become the supplier manufacturers of premium weapons trust most. The company will unveil their new handy sling swivel at the IWA OutdoorClassics fair in Nuremberg between March 3 and March 6, 2017. Hall 3A, booth 3A-108.
