PUSH & GO sling swivels: New complete set for shotguns with handy clamp collar
Small model for slim buttstocks
The PUSH & GO sling swivel engineered by Erwin Halder KG has become the solution of choice for any user who appreciates the ease with which it allows them to remove the rifle sling. The manufacturer from Achstetten-Bronnen is now taking the technology to the next level by introducing a smaller model with a bolt diameter of 6 mm. This miniaturised version makes the system also suitable for slim stocks. The comprehensive package is rounded off by an easy-to-install clamp collar that can be used to attach the sling swivel to the barrel of shotguns.
For training and competitions on shooting ranges the removal of rifle slings is strictly mandatory. However, said removal is quite involved and cumbersome with most sling swivels available on the market today, as they require the user to thread the belt out of the swivel. Worse yet, the sling swivel remains on the weapon and becomes a hindrance for the user, e.g. while aiming. In contrast to these conventional solutions, the sling swivel designed by Erwin Halder makes it a cinch to undo the connection between rifle sling and gun stock. The only item that remains on the gun stock is the locating bushing, which offers the additional advantage of being flush with the stock.
The sling swivel makes use of the same ball lock pin technology that has proven to be effective in many other applications. To detach, merely press the push button of the pin. The balls engage automatically in the locating bore when the button is released and are unlocked again with a press of the button. This makes it possible to insert and remove the sling swivel as many times as needed – without any rattle or noise whatsoever. The locating bushings are the counterparts to the sling swivels. They are fitted into the gun stock.

“Until now, we offered our sling swivels and the associated bushings only with a bolt diameter of 9.5 mm. However, the bushing on this model slightly protrudes from slim buttstocks. This shortcoming enticed us to develop a model with a diameter of merely 6 mm - the only version that small anywhere on the globe. It sits perfectly without any projections even in slim stocks and in a manner that is pleasing to the eye. The feedback we have received so far is exceedingly positive“, explains Bernd Janner, Sales Manager at Erwin Halder KG.
The sturdy sling swivel along with the locating bushings is made of stainless steel. The standard version also comes with corrosion protection that gives the sling swivel a black colour. This version of the sling swivel is accompanied by a non-coated version. Both models are, of course, suitable for outdoor use.
Clamp collar for shotgunbarrels
To make the shotgun easier to carry, the rifle sling is attached to the barrel. Previously, this required a laborious process where the sling swivel was soldered to the barrel. Bernd Janner: “The new clamp collar for the small sling swivel made by Erwin Halder KG makes installation an absolute breeze. All that needs to be done is place it at the right position on the barrel. This makes it exceptionally easy to add the clamp collar at a later time.
Since launching the sling swivel, Erwin Halder KG has managed to establish themselves as a supplier of many well-known gun makers. However, the product's possible applications extend beyond that and are nearly limitless - whether in industry and trade or for recreational use. It is, for instance, conceivable that the product can be used on bags or suitcases.
