Simple changing system for heavy loads
Unfortunately it is often laborious and complicated to correctly mount and dismount load-handling equipment, when it is required to lift or to hold heavy components. Consequently, even additional lifting aids are required, such as thread for eye bolts, to securely fasten the load-handling equipment. To dispense with these bothersome tasks, Erwin Halder KG of Achstetten-Bronnen, Germany has developed new, extremely robust lifting pins for fast load changing that do not need fastening aids.
Extremely high lifting capacity
"With the new variant we significantly extend the application spectrum for our lifting pins. With a diameter of 20 mm the self-locking lifting pins are now designed for weights up to 1000 kg with up to five times the safety", states Bernd Janner, Sales Executive at Erwin Halder KG.
The robust load-suspension devices, like all lifting pins from Erwin Halder KG have a bolt part with a movable shackle and a locking stud that safeguards against unintentional detachment. The whole is secured through the balls on the lower end of the pin that arrest automatically. For unlocking, a red anodised aluminium push-button is integrated below the shackle. "Supporting lifting aids on the workpiece are no longer required: The lifting element is simply inserted in prefabricated bores – in this regard the tolerance H11 is completely sufficient for use", adds Bernd Janner.
The lifting pins are available in two materials – in manganese-phosphated, quenched and tempered steel, as well as precipitation hardened steel. Both variants are protected against corrosion and are temperature resistant to 250°C. In addition, the lifting pin of stainless steel is weather-resistant and thus perfectly suited for outdoor implementations.
The high-strength pin withstands extreme loads. Moreover, for special cases there are suitable locating bushings, likewise of precipitation hardened steel. They can simply be screwed into different substrate materials, in a reliable process. In addition, they are also corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant. For example, they are particularly recommended as an additional safeguard for thin-walled, soft parts or blind holes.
Maximum safety guaranteed
The load-handling device can be rotated 360° without load, this means that optimal alignment of the shackle to the direction of force is always ensured. Bernd Janner: "Our lifting pins are easy to handle and offer versatile implementation, such as for fastening counterweights, for transporting components, and for quickly changing clamping elements or workpieces. Particularly for extremely heavy components, with minimal effort they reliably ensure maximum safety. In addition, they significantly reduce set-up costs."
The safety offered by the certified lifting pins has been tested confirmed by TÜV Süd. Moreover, the load-handling devices are CE-conformant. They are available from stock in diameters from 8 mm to 20 mm with different function lengths – however the Swabian enterprise also manufactures special dimensions on customer request.
