Erwin Halder KG launches new magnetic holder
Handy helper in production hall and workshop
Versatile use, multi-function, rock solid, superior holding force
Whether they require machine and fixture elements, clamping elements, operating elements or machine elements – customers can trust that Erwin Halder KG always engineers a simple and practical solution. And, their new magnetic holder is no exception: it is a testimony to the company’s ability to always find and implement the solution that suits the user's needs best.
An all too familiar problem: You are always in need of a holder when there is none, e.g. to hang up your blow gun, a cable or even your jacket. Obviously, drilling a hole into the machine or the tool cabinet to install a stationary holder is not an option. The new magnetic holder by Erwin Halder KG is the answer to the problem. “In every production hall or workshop there are metal surfaces that allow for the quick and easy attachment of the magnet. Even though this solution seems to be so obvious, there are hardly any other sound magnetic holders that deserve the name. All the more reason for us to launch this product”, says Bernd Janner, Sales Executive of Erwin Halder KG.
The new Halder magnetic holder is multi-functional and allows for universal use. The holder makes it a cinch to attach / hang blow guns, cables, hoses, clothing, barrier tape and other types of accessories. Its special design ensures that the items will not shift or slip off inadvertently once they have been attached. Better still, the dual-use zones on the holder keep things even neater. They allow the user, for instance, to hang a hose in the larger rear portion while using the front portion to attach a blow gun. Available in blue or black, the sturdy holder sports a diameter of 65 mm and is made of plastic. The six neodymium magnets housed in the pot magnet generate an exceptionally high holding force. What is more, the contact surface is rubberised. This coating makes them resistant to oil and prevents scratches on the holding surface.
“The most common question we were asked concerned the weight the magnetic holder was capable of supporting. The answer depends on whether the surface to which it is supposed to adhere is dry and clean and on how thick the opposite pole is: For instance, the typical 2 mm thickness of a tool cabinet wall would translate to a weight of 9.5 kg, while a solid steel plate boasting 30 mm would even allow for up to 13 kg. However, even if subjected to too much weight, the holder will not simply fall off but slowly slide down the surface instead. This protects the items attached to / hung up on the magnet from becoming damaged”, explains Bernd Janner.
The icing on the cake is the packaging of this handy helper: Aside from protecting the product, it keeps the magnet from inadvertently erasing data stored on cards, etc. during transport and storage. In addition, it gives retailers an opportunity to show off the product in the best way possible - including application examples and safety instructions.
